These mittens are worked with either a heavy worsted yarn held double or a super-bulky yarn. The daisy motif is a little fiddly to work, but only for two rounds—and after that, the rest goes really quickly!
SIZES: One size, to fit average woman.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Palm circumference is approximately 8 inches (20 cm).
YARN: Cascade Yarns Ecological Wool (100% wool; 478 yds/437 m per 250g skein); color 8049; 1 skein.
Yarn substitution note: the recommended yarn is an Aran/heavy worsted weight. When held double, it works up to a super-bulky yarn. You will need about 170 yards (130 meters) of Aran/heavy worsted weight yarn or 85 yards (65 meters) of super-bulky yarn.
Recommended yarns: Test knitters were happy with Cascade Eco+, Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted, Lion Brand Thick & Quick, and Sandnes Garn Easy.
